Dr. Mohsen Mohamadi, PsyD.
A highly-respected medical doctor and clinical psychologist, educated in Iran and the US, Dr. Mohsen Mohamadi has emerged as a leader and mentor in the field of Neurofeedback. His knowledge, interest and experience in management of pain, trauma and ADHD has helped countless clients in both countries.
Having researched and published many studies on the topic of pain, he is also an award-winning author. He has presented his work at a prestigious International gathering in Vienna and has also received the award for Best Scientific Translated Book in Iran for his translation of “The Study of Pain.”
Despite the academic accolades, it is in service to individuals and families in private practice where Dr. Mohamadi has found his passion and utilized his gifts. When the Iraq-Iran conflict began in 1980, he had just completed his medical training and residency in Psychiatry from Shiraz University, graduating with honors and ranking first in the country. He returned to his hometown near the border with Iraq to serve families affected by the on-going war. In the next 14 years, his house demolished twice during air raids, he would treat more than 60,000 people, including children and soldiers.
He later moved his family, teaching and practice to Tehran, before settling in his new home in Southern California. It is here that Dr. Mohamadi received his second doctorate and became interested and excelled in the practice of biofeedback and neurofeedback as a new way to treat people suffering from chronic pain, attention deficit, brain injuries, addiction and post-traumatic stress. Practicing this modality for more than a decade, he now mentors other clinicians in the growing field. Dr. Mohamadi welcomes you to walk through what might be keeping you stuck and explore how the science and practice of Neurofeedback can help you break free.
