Hengameh Khajavi is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist through Board of Behavioral Sciences. In addition she is a Certified Life Coach by Expert Rating Certified Professionals. She holds a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from the American School of Professional Psychology. She specializes in Parenting, Substance Abuse, and EMDR.
Having lived through war and revolution in Iran, Ms. Khajavi has made the US her home for 30 years, so she understands both American and Iranian cultural challenges. Together with her training, this gives her a unique perspective. She believes struggles are a part of life and that every stage of life has its own struggle. She is confident that with awareness and a will to change, anyone can overcome their challenges. She is here to help you explore and meet those challenges, so you can walk through them to healthier ways of living.
Ms. Khajavi enjoys working with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds and respects non-binary gender-fluid people and their sexual orientations. Her compassionate nature allows for heightened understanding and respect for her clients. She provides therapeutic services so her clients can learn to cope, and then flourish.
